Hello everyone. I made it here safely with no problems. I apologize for not posting sooner but things have gotten a little complicated. Lorne has been doing his treatments with no problems until Saturday. His belly started to pouf up like he was pregnant. At first we just thought it was from all the IV's he'd been doing all week. But when it didn't start to go back to normal, we started to worry. The doctors have seen him and taken an x-ray to see what level the fluid is at and to figure out where it's coming from. Hopefully they will be draining it soon and he will be much more comfortable. He hasn't eaten much since he arrived as he wasn't feeling great and now he has been told he cannot eat. Not that it mattered, it all comes back up anyways. He hasn't been able to keep anything down, if with anti-nausea medication. I wish I had better news to report. Lorne has just been sleeping the last couple of days while we scramble to figure it all out. My hope is that by the end of the day he is much more comfortable after they drain that fluid, they figure out what's causing it, and he can resume his treatments tomorrow.
Again, I apologize I took so long to get online but with the schedule of things and the sketchy internet, it's not as simple as just firing up a laptop.
I will write again later tonight or tomorrow when I have more information on his condition. For now, I just keep praying for a miracle.
Please keep Lorne in your thoughts. He's fighting with everything he's got.
Warmest regards,
Sean Grimes
